Thank heavens DC was "out" so they can't do any more damage!

Again . . .

...I must apologize for not adding content as I promised, but to be truthful, I'm overwhelmed w/ what continues to be foisted upon us x our all-knowing, all-seeing benevolent gov't.

It is post-Thanksgiving so the campaigns will now begin in earnest - minus of course, the six week Holiday break. Quick thought: do you make a base salary just under $200,000 (remember that is the base w/o the extras for committees, perks, etc.) & have a six week Holiday break?

Anyway, just remember this: if Obama is returned to power he will be unfettered to pursue his personal agenda being a "lame duck". Think long & hard on that.

apologies and . . .

There is much to discuss of late & I've been remiss in my duties to my one or two loyal followers. I AM sorry & I shall be here more often until I "catch up".

...but I'll allow Scott Olsen (thru "aburger") speak for me today:

As God is my witness. I will fight tooth and nail to restore the decency this country was founded upon. The politicians, banks and large corporations have ruined this country. I find it difficult to notice any sense of politeness on the streets anymore. But it goes farther. As a Marine and a citizen I am outraged. I am sick to death of the world my children are being raised in.
So I ask all of you, can you too sense the tipping point? When will enough be enough? If not now, when? I feel the problem is that the average Joe citizen is ignorant and comfortable. These, in addition to selfishness have become the standard for the majority of the population. As long as people are comfortable they remain silent. Well, I’m really fucking uncomfortable and I’m sick of seeing this sort of shit happening. The Occupy protests that are going on are our first glimmer of hope. If we can take this and move it further, get every lazy ass off their rocker and open their eyes; then maybe, just maybe we have a chance.
Semper Fi brothers, and remember who you are. Protectors of a great nation, not politicians or wealthy money grubbing bankers and the like. When it comes time, I know we’ll stand strong.

Labor Day?

...w/ unemployment at a reported - now remember that does NOT include those whose benefits have run out or have been out of work so long they are the "chronically unemployed" - 9.1%. Virtually unchanged since April.

When is this gov't going stop lying? ...& when is the media going to stop being complicit? After the next election? Sorry to tell you fools, the people have finally been paying attention.

ps . . . & where exactly is all the money spent so that unemployment will never get above 8%? ...& where has all that money - OUR MONEY!!! - gone? Exactly?

Bulletin: the Central Government is a bunch of liars & crooks & it has gotten so bad that the "...emperor has no clothes."!!!

Guest column:

"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property - until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

Introducing a new action hero...

...from an old friend who once fought the good fight.
His newly created comic hero: Sackless Man!!!

-----

"Sackless Man!'  Able to grovel a the slightest tremor.  More sniveling than a Jewish daughter. Able to whine at the drop of a dime!

It's SACKLESS MAN!

What the White Race has become in forty years! Once the ruler of the world, now quivering
and nail biting in the corner...........deathly afraid he might OFFEND SOMEONE"!

interesting but . . .

...not the real issue. Never forget Goldman-Sachs' butt-boy Henry (Hank to his friends) Paulson orchestrated the theft of $750B minimum - yes, remember that back in October of '08? -  from the taxpayers & told us point blank "...no congressional oversight...no judicial review..."! And he got away w/ it!!! The friggin' people & their Congress are cattle...& so, we get what we settle for.

July 2

Please take the next few days thinking about what the date July 4 is all about.
You don't need me telling you what I think - it'd be like someone explaining what was happening as you watched a sunrise. I won't ruin it. Sort it out in your own words what our legacy is & what it means...& how close we are to losing it all.

a friend . . .

...recently e-mailed me & asked why I have not had any new "rants" here. Well to be honest the previous post says it all. Seeing that kind'a took the wind out of my sails. I wrote him back & this is the "ps" to my e-mail.

"ps as you well know, it always comes down to the same thing: money. What has happened to this country since the end of WWII is one of the biggest crimes perpetrated on any culture since Caesar crushed the Celts, but is has not been one man's insatiable appetite. No - it's more pitiful than that. We've been "conned" out of our inheritance & have given it up willingly...well, perhaps not willingly but we've "given" it none-the-less."

The truth in the above sickens me...

Pulled up to a stop-light . . .

...the economy's on the mend."  - (insert your DC liar-of-choice)

http://finance.yahoo.com/banking-budgeting/article/112698/housing-crash-getting-worse-marketwatch?mod=bb-budgeting

Just another one of "their" outright lies! ...& "they" continue to spoon-feed you lie, after lie, after lie - & you continue to lo-in-the-meadow. What is it going to take to make you wake up? Yes, that is rhetorical.

& now for somemore "Malarkey" . . .

I have refrained from making comment about the OBL death. Initaially I didn't like the smell - no pictures, no DNA, killed w/ gun, kia w/o gun, burial at sea, et al., but I've come around. I think - operative word: think - that it happened pretty much the way it was reported. Tho I still have questions, there is no doubt eliminating him & not making him a martyr was the right & smart thing to do. Congratulations Team-Six...& thank you.

Mr. President - I am normally never on your side, but taking OBL out was correct & not giving a long-winded speech at "Ground Zero" was classy. Keep it up.

Now on to other "stuff". I read all the papers every day - more or less - & today they reported: "...unemployment above 9%..."; "...strong job report shows economy gaining steam..."; "...up to 500,000 new jobs created...", etc. Now is it any wonder that the "Fourth Estate" has ZERO credibility any longer? They - the press - were to be our "watchdogs", but they have been so co-opted x the corporations who own them that they may be in a tight race w/ the politicians to see who is the most dismissed.

I read the commodities market every day & oil has gone below $99 / bbl - down almost $14. The pump shows a $00.01 drop in price. If crude goes up $2/bbl the price at the pump jumps 10-cents in a day...& we continue to take it. Baaa...

People - are you paying attention to anything going on around you? Rhetorical.

More hot-air...

...from those self-serving assholes in Washington - especially the "Asshole-n-Chief":

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110430/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_obama

Do you think for one moment that the oil companies give one crap about what the prices are? They'll make "theirs" no matter what. Why does Europe pay E9 for a gallon? ...because they drive small efficient cars! Surprise! ...& do you think for one moment that cutting off $4B (tho not even a blip on their radar: ie Exxon made $11B profit this quarter) in subsides won't get to your wallet? "Shit flows down hill" as my old DI use to say. MORONS - get with it! Wake up & learn the rules!!...at least the basics, ferchris'ake!!! ...or continue to bend over w/ your drawers down.

mooo . . .

...bits & pieces:

"...At the current price, the government would lose more than $11 billion, but the Obama administration is willing to accept the loss in order to cut its last ties to the auto manufacturer, the newspaper said, citing unnamed sources." --- this is a story about CenGov getting out of GM. Do you see "...the government would lose more than $11 billion, but the Obama administration is willing to accept the loss in order to cut its last ties to the auto manufacturer..." Do you morons out there get that? The Obama Administration is willing to endure the loss? The Gov't will lose $11 B! Hey fools, the friggin' Gov't doesn't produce anything. It hasn't a dime - other than what it wastes of yours that it steals under the guise of income tax. Don't you see any of that?

"...the Debt is at an all time high of #14.3 trillion dollars." Again, do you even have a hazy notion what that means? Tell you what, the Chinese do!

The US Dollar continues to slide. Check the commodities yourself - right there in the left column. Do you know what THAT means? Tell you what - again - the Chinese do!

Gold over $1500 / oz. Why'zat?

Gas predicted to go to $6 x summer - & you can bet if "they" predict that, it'll be a whole lot more! Do you know what that means? I bet you think you do, but it'll effect every facet of your existence - & the oil companies will realize record profits. Mooooooooo...

I can't go on. You cattle out there, lowing to yourselves, deserve what you have already gotten & what you have coming...

take the 45 seconds...

"545 vs. 300,000,000 People"

By Charlie Reese (final column for the Orlando Sentinel)

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
>
> Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
>
> Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
>
> You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.
>
> You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
>
> You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
>
> You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
>
> You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
>
> One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
>
> I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
>
> I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.
>
> Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
>
> What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
>
> The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? John Boehner. He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.
>
> It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
>
> If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
>
> If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.
>
> If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it's because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ...
>
> If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.
>
> There are no insoluble government problems.
>
> Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
>
> Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
>
> They, and they alone, have the power.
>
> They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.
>
> Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees...
>
> We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

today is . . .

...the anniversary of Lexington & Concord. Do you even have an inkling of what that means? ...then? ...now?

Gas is over $4.00 / gal. & headed to $5+. Check the Quarterlies. The gas companies are making record profits once again - on your back. This country has regulations for everything. From your bumper to your bedroom. Now why do you suppose they refuse to regulate the oil companies? Because they - all of 'em: your president, senator & rep - all of them: owned x the monied interests (read: big-corp - aka big-oil, big-pharm, big-banks, big-etc.) & what do we do? Better question is what CAN we do?

"They" are aware of our apathy. "They" count on it. "They" produce major strategies on the assumption that we - the cattle - might bitch a bit, but then put our heads back down, graze quietly & give "them" no more trouble. "They" have fabricated the system to produce drey animals...& that is YOU. And I'm ashamed to say, ME.

So what can we do? I don't have an answer. I continue to bark-at-the-moon...but those boys back in 1775 had had enough. I've had enough too, but what do I do? Pound a stupid keyboard. I'm "cowed" like the rest of us...& I am ashamed.

musings...

Just sitting around thinking on a warm Sunday afternoon on my back deck about the state of things. I promise not to bore you w/ my thought-process, but give it some thought yourself.

How have we come to the state of affairs we find ourselves? The entire world is in turmoil. The "have-nots" seem to finally have had enough, but that may not actually be the case...nor the cause. Time will tell.

...& how have we here in the States allowed the whole country to become an armed camp? The cops now pull you over & ask "...where are your papers"? You don't have to be black or brown. Everyone is "suspect".

...& the rich - & semi-rick - all live in these gated-communities. Walls to keep people out also keep people in.

The world has become an armed camp. How has this happened? We - humans - set the rules. Take a ride on your imagination for a moment & you're flying in on your saucer from another planet & look down & see the dominant species all killing each other - & those not actively engaged in that pursuit, are preparing. I mean, "WTF - over"? Would you stop x to have some tea? Well being here on the ground, I'll just keep my powder dry - & prepared - & hope "they" never come onto my back deck.

...& this label "terrorist"? What does that mean exactly? Keeping all the people frightened / terrorized? Well it seems to me then, that our Central Government is a terrorist organization. No? "Heresy" you say? Look closer.

Maybe I'm just an old fart, who like all the old-farts before me, lived in a better (different? ...no definitely better. Definitely.) time & are just grumpy & grouchy x the fact of being around so long.

I don't know. What I do know is that this whole set-up ain't right & doesn't have to be this way.

Question:

I just spoke to a friend of mine & they - the miserable gangster-banks - are taking his house. He's tried every single one of the CenGov's "programs" & been denied. He has a job - he's always had a job. Good credit. Always paid his bills. The bank refused to work w/ him on either a payment reduction or re-do of his mortage to one of the gov-sponsored "lower" rate plans.

Now here is my question: do any of you "out there" know of anyone, anywhere that has been helped x these gov't programs that we hear so much about from those bank-owned crooks in DC or the bank-owned media?...even hear of anyone? ...anywhere? I haven't...& I've been trying to find someone who has.

All that money stolen from you in October of '08 & all that money stolen from you since has gone directly into the banks pockets. Am I wrong? Just show me where I'm wrong. Please.

How can we continue to allow this to happen? No one, anywhere, speaks up. Me? I continue to bark at the moon.

Guest Opinion...

"I would not have involved our military in Libya. For one thing, I see no reason why the Arab League, which gave the no-fly zone notion a big thumbs-up, doesn't take on that job. They have pilots and jets. Why is it that America and the European nations always have to do their dirty work? All it ever gets us is the ongoing hatred and resentment of Arabs and Muslims. Besides, unlike most people, I have not been sitting on the sidelines rooting for the rebellion forces in the Middle East. I do not confuse enemies of my enemies with friends. I have no reason to think that when the smoke clears, we are going to see a lot of George Washingtons and Thomas Jeffersons running any of those moral swamplands. It is far likelier that Al Qaeda, Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood and Hezbollah, will fill any and all power vacuums in that part of the world, with the mullahs in Tehran pulling their collective strings. ... I am not suggesting that the U.S. military should never venture out beyond our borders, but we should have a better reason for doing so than because CNN is showing us one bunch of anti-American creeps killing another bunch of anti-American creeps. In short, we should not be letting the 6 o'clock news determine our foreign policy."

What have we learned in 2.066 years?

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled,
public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be
         tempered and controlled, and
the assistance to foreign lands should
be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to
work, instead of living on public assistance."

BATFE

This little excerpt from JPFO says so much.
So very much.

" . . .

But do you know what really scares me now? I’m praying that Wikileaks doesn’t have anything on our sacrosanct BATFE. I’m hoping beyond hope that Wikileaks' Julian Assange realizes how important the BATFE is to our personal liberty here in America and doesn’t rock the boat. Some things are best just kept secret. Secrecy is really important to freedom because the truth threatens freedom. So lies actually protect your freedom. Got it?

I have refrained...

...from commenting on Tuesday's SOTU address x our illustrious leader, as I knew someone would do it for me better than I could...more directly to the point:

"We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt."
                                                                                        -Thomas Jefferson

Deficit Deceit

The Congressional Budget Office released new budget estimates Wednesday predicting that the federal deficit will reach a record of nearly $1.5 trillion this year, or almost 25 percent of GDP. The national debt is fast approaching its current $14.3 trillion ceiling. This grim news came less than 12 hours after Barack Obama tried to sound a note of fiscal responsibility in his State of the Union address -- a speech during which the federal debt increased by another $100 million.
                                                    - WND
. . .

"Even supporters of the president and the Alinskyite radicalism that dominates his party will find it hard to acclaim [Barack Obama's] decision to spend 60 minutes sermonizing about government being more important than suffering Americans give it credit for during a hard recession. Are you impressed with the Internet? With your iPad? With that gadget on your car's dashboard that gets you back on the Interstate after you get lost in a strange city? Thank Washington, because according to the president Washington 'planted the seeds for the Internet. That's what helped make possible things like computer chips and GPS. Just think of all the good jobs -- from manufacturing to retail -- that have come from these breakthroughs.' If you don't remember Presidents Carter or Reagan or Clinton bragging about the initiatives of their administrations that would one day bear the fruit of global social networks like Facebook, handheld communication devices like BlackBerrys, and the mobility revolution of Wi-Fi, it's because they didn't. Government didn't bring us any of those things; the private sector did. ... Yet all we heard for much of nearly 7,000 words were exhortations to appreciate Washington's ever-growing role in the U.S. economy."

Political Correctness 101

Subject: There is an annual contest at Texas A&M University calling for

the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term: This year's term was:
"Political Correctness."

The winner wrote:

"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical
minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media,

which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of
shit by the clean end."

Been out of touch. I have lots to say - don't we all? - but it's been so freakin' cold here in my office (no heat, as it's not needed in Florida. Right-o!) that I can't sit & type...but fear not, I shall return at the earliest possible moment!!!
